Wicked Smokey Eye Video Tutorial

Soft Smoky Eye for Valentine's Day

I posted a video!! Can you believe it?!? I can't hardly believe it myself. After Halloween I got super busy. The kids all had something going on, I had several new clients as well as my loyal clients getting their hair and makeup done. So that was exciting for me! But between the kids, holidays and my clients I just didn't get to do any videos or posts.

I've also been having fun figuring out a fancy new camera that my hubs gave me. Took me a couple tries filming to get all the focusing settings and stuff right, which is still a work in progress but it is going for now. Then when I went to edit the videos they wouldn't work properly in my Adobe editing program. Huge bummer. So then I had to find a new editing program that would support my videos from the fancy new camera. To top that off I had to learn a new program which is very frustrating. I'm hugely grateful that my sweet hubs is so patient, supportive and willing to help me. Last night he sat down with me and edited this video for me! How awesome is that?!? He's a keeper ;-)

So on to the video after all that fiasco. This is my first Valentine's Day look. I wanted to do something soft and easy using only 3 eyeshadows. I used the MAC Double Feature 5 duo eyeshadow. This way you have 2 eyeshadows that already match each other. The third was MAC Vanilla as a highlight under the brow. This can be any highlight color you want. Vanilla works well with my skintone.

I hope you enjoy!

Sexy Vampire Halloween Makeup

This will be my first video in my Halloween makeup series. I am so excited about this! I love Halloween. It is my favorite holiday! It is just so much fun! Candy, costumes, spooky fun things and pumpkins!

So there are tons of Halloween makeup video tutorials out there. I am not trying to compete with any of them. There are so many spectacularly talented people out there. I have just decided to have my Halloween tutorials be as simple as I can make them. So just about anyone can repeat the look and make it their own. But I had to do some because I love this holiday so much.

I truly hope you enjoy this tutorial cuz I had so much fun filming it!

This look was done by request. This Friday night is my 10 year high school reunion. WOW! Has it really been 10 years?!? Crazy! I'm way excited! So this is idea for a friend who wanted a subtle smoky eye. Skipper, I hope this helps! I had a lot of fun creating this look! Enjoy!

NARS Smoky Cat Eye Tutorial

Here is another installment in the Smoky Eye series. Remember this post? This is the tutorial for that look. I changed it up slightly but it is still using the NARS eyeshadow duo from the summer collection called Dogon. This is a very sultry look perfect for a date night. Enjoy!

Here are the photos.
