Mandy Moore's Oscar Red Carpet Make Up

I thought Mandy Moore looked completely stunning at the Oscars. Her make up was just gorgeous. So I tried my best to recreate it using inexpensive products. I get requests for looks using affordable make up all the time. So I thought this look would work well to showcase that. It is a simple and easy look to do. It is all about the lips in this look. Enjoy the tutorial.

Without flash

The lips photographed kinda pinky-orange colored but at least on the video they were more orange looking.

Sparkle

Have you tried Sleek Make Up yet?!? OMG! It is completely fabulous! I ordered their new Sparkle Pallete and it came just over a week ago. I have been playing with it ever since. I'm in love! The eye shadow is so velvety and and intensely pigmented. A little goes a long way. I have some more stuff coming from Sleek and I can not wait! They are a cosmetic company based across the pond in London. I first heard of them from my favorite British make up artists Pixiwoo. Both Sleek and Pixiwoo are linked on my sidebar to the right. The best part about Sleek Make Up is how affordable it is. The Sparkle Pallete is just 10$ and comes with 12 colors!! Amazing right?!?

Here are a few looks I have done with it. GREAT for party looks. I will also do a video tutorial this week using this pallete and upload it before Friday for you all. So hopefully you can get some fun ideas for any New Year's Eve events you will be going to.

This first look I did for a family Christmas party a week ago. I plan to repeat something similar for New Years Eve. It was so much fun! I LOVED it. I totally stood out but I like it that way ;-)

And yeah I'm in the car LOL I didn't leave much time for photos before I left. So I took them in the car with my hubby driving and my cute kiddies in the back seat. These 2 photos are taken from different angles.

Here are your close ups.

I'll show you in my video tutorial how to get that defined line also known as a "cat eye" look with the eye shadow and eye liner.

Next look I did with the blue colors in the pallete. I didn't do it for any special occasion. Just wanted to try them out. But I think they would be fun for a party or night out.

The blues are really kind of icy and I love it.

Close ups.

Instead of black eye liner on my lower water line I used a pearlescent white liner to open the eye a bit.

I think people are scared to try blue eye shadows. Blue eye shadow like blush has gotten a bad reputation since the 80's. When done right they are really beautiful.

My Favorites This Week

Sad story: Right after filming this I dropped my perfume roller ball on the tile kitchen floor and it shattered :(
Please feel sad for me. Thanks.

Soft and Glossy

Here is another everyday look that really looks like you put a lot of effort into it. But in truth you only use 5 or 6 products total (not counting foundation/concealer). Again, I apologize for the terrible lighting. Still trying to figure that one out. I think my next video I will try filming in a different room in my house. I think I need a window in front of me rather than behind me. ENJOY!

Just an FYI I did have some creasing on my eyelids with this look. So for the first house check your eyes frequently and then gently rub in the shadow/vaseline together. Or just forget eyeshadow all together ;-) LOL

I love the gold flecks in this lip gloss. Looks even better in person.
