Soft Smoky Eye for Valentine's Day
Monday, January 23, 2012 at 9:24AM I posted a video!! Can you believe it?!? I can't hardly believe it myself. After Halloween I got super busy. The kids all had something going on, I had several new clients as well as my loyal clients getting their hair and makeup done. So that was exciting for me! But between the kids, holidays and my clients I just didn't get to do any videos or posts.
I've also been having fun figuring out a fancy new camera that my hubs gave me. Took me a couple tries filming to get all the focusing settings and stuff right, which is still a work in progress but it is going for now. Then when I went to edit the videos they wouldn't work properly in my Adobe editing program. Huge bummer. So then I had to find a new editing program that would support my videos from the fancy new camera. To top that off I had to learn a new program which is very frustrating. I'm hugely grateful that my sweet hubs is so patient, supportive and willing to help me. Last night he sat down with me and edited this video for me! How awesome is that?!? He's a keeper ;-)
So on to the video after all that fiasco. This is my first Valentine's Day look. I wanted to do something soft and easy using only 3 eyeshadows. I used the MAC Double Feature 5 duo eyeshadow. This way you have 2 eyeshadows that already match each other. The third was MAC Vanilla as a highlight under the brow. This can be any highlight color you want. Vanilla works well with my skintone.
I hope you enjoy!

Looks FANTASTIC! (as usual!) Your husband did a great job. So nice of him to help. I never understand technology.
The Benefit They're Real mascara is the greatest mascara on earth. I am so grateful you introduced it to me through the blog.
